Simple crochet top pattern made with Lion Brand Scarfie yarn

About the design

After the big success of my Perfect Gift PonchoPoncho DressPoncho Vest and Poncho T-shirt, I decided to continue working on different types of garments using Scarfie yarn. All patterns use the same yarn, same stitch and same simplicity for beginners. And the best thing: they all work up extremely fast!

This crochet top pattern is worked from side to side in the length. We will start working on the right side, continue working on the V neckline using a simple chain method, and then make the second half. At last the sides are seamed together. All you need to know is how to make chains and double crochet stitches. This pattern is available in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL. For reference, model is 1.63m/5’4″ tall with a 34” bust and wearing the top in size Small.

About the yarn

For this crochet top I used Lionbrand Scarfie yarn. Scarfie is a soft wool blend yarn with unique self-striping ombré effect. It beautifully shades from one color to the next and works up fast. It’s perfect for making warm garments and accessoires. I have made this top in mint/silver as well, which you can see below.
